This tour package is available to book with a minimum of four (4) riders or a four rider equivalent. You can choose to stay in a hotel or have it setup as a camping trip, completely outfitted.

Camping: April - October: If you choose this option please indicate the total amount of tents and bags that will be needed in the comments section of the form. On the first day of the trip we'll harness down to the bikes your bags and tents with nets and bungee cords.

After an early breakfast for a launch point, we'll head South East from Las Vegas for three days and two nights! Your motorcycle guide will help you find a better experience running through some great roads and world famous travel spots while vacationing in Las Vegas.

This is an awesome trip of forestry, curves and mountain twisted roads.

The Rider/The Tour: The participant of this motorcycle tour should be at least an intermediate rider, with a few thousand miles under his/her belt. More ....

We're going to have a nice time, we'd like to have friendly riders join us. "You'll be happier than itchy pig rubbing up against a rail fence."

This guided motorcycle road trip starts off from Las Vegas and will visit many popular cities and roads over the course of three days and two nights across many cities and motorcycle roads of Arizona, then back to California and Nevada. No, we will not see The Grand Canyon on this trip, as that tour is done on the Utah Circle Tour or AZ Grand Slam - see the schedule.

What are some of the areas? Well... This guided motorcycle tour is 906 miles on returning to Boulder City, headed back to Las Vegas. The scheduled trip however, will take three days and two nights to complete our excursion. We'll take a drive down famous historical route 66 to our first night in Flagstaff. We'll see first hand the most beautiful areas of the natural world. We'll ride the scenic roads and majestic mountain sides of unparalleled landscapes anywhere, not just a peek at the ocean once in a while as seen on some motorcycle tours. Yes, this is an exciting three days of riding and forest scenic beauty in the state of Arizona, we'll see every type of road condition with literally hundreds and hundreds of twists, and long sweeping curves that are seen in unusual pathways of the mountains. One thing is for sure, the State of Arizona can plot and build roads anywhere.

Specific mountain ranges, deserts and forest we'll pass through or by include are the Black Mountains, Mojave Desert, Peacock Mountains, Hualiapai Valley, Coconino National Forest and Tonto National Forest.

We'll pass through and around many cities which we'll briefly go into below... Each day will have it's gifted treasures that we can take home and talk about for some time to come. One great way you can take home additional memories is by getting a tank cam to hold either, a camcorder or camera. The next best thing would be a tank bag where you camera is easily accessible for those moments that may slip away.

Day 1 - 293 Miles: VIDEO #1 - 5.17 Minutes - Ride into Oatman - Twisties on Historical Route 66 - Short Segments of day 1
VIDEO #2 - 4 Minutes - Historical Route 66 & The Journey Out - Segments of day 1

We'll truck south for Oatman and have a blast where donkey's and gunfighters roam the streets. We'll catch a cowboy shoot-out featured by the American Red Cross, browse a few shops, then off to a set of switch-backs and twisties that will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up! We'll then ride north west to route 66 towards Flagstaff for a full day of riding.

Day 2 - 190 Miles: VIDEO #1 - 7 Minutes - Coconino National Forest - Twisties - Segments of day 2
VIDEO #2 - 4 Minutes - Red Rock - Sedona - Coconino National Forest - Segments of day 2

We'll rise and be greeted with a graceful ride through the forest and curvy country roads around lakes and valleys. We drive into the Coconino National Park area where we'll find an abundance of peaceful scenic drives.  This certainly has to be considered one of the BEST motorcycle routes in Arizona as well as the entire western half of the United States! The scenery is unbelievable ... world class! For the lower elevations there will be plant life of pines, scrub oaks and different types of cacti as the climate in the bottom of the canyon is dry. We'll press forward through lush rugged forests, again, working our way north in direction and up in altitude into multiple canyons and colorful rock formations. The higher regions of the canyon display forests full of Aspens, Oaks and Maples. Even the smaller towns seem to be lined in dazzling color and friendly motorcycle riders from all over the world.

We may schedule this trip in the months of October/November, so we might be fortunate enough to see the Aspens and Oaks in their falling graceful color. Prior to end of our 2nd day still heading north, climbing steep mountain grades, we'll soon have a glimpse at magnificent mountain overlooks that will give you a stunningly great view of the  beautiful canyon we just considered.

Day 3 - 233 Miles: VIDEO #1 - 6 Minutes - Journey Back - Mojave Desert - Hoover Dam - Segments of day 3

This relaxing journey back home takes us out of the mountains, rolling across the prairies of Arizona with the sweet smell of ponderosa pines with valley after valley of wide open spaces and fields of sage. We'll treck across the Mojave Desert on our way to Hoover Dam, Hoover Dam will end the day or follow us back in to the rental shop. Before we leave Hoover Dam, we'd like to get some group photos.

Total 716 Miles

Below is a topographical image of historical road route 66 near Oatman that travels across parts of the Black Mountains, which is mostly desert. It would be nice to see them fix this road instead of filling in the cracks, sometimes it makes me angrier than mud wasp in a dry gourd. It requires much caution due to the hairpin turns AND switchbacks. So, this is the little road that will get us warmed up as we get ready to explore every type of road condition, every curve, every twisted hairpin switch back. Is there such a thing as a twisted hairpin switchback? We'll I'm afraid to say, yes, and it's not pretty but you'll find every bit of a statement like that and more in a little town called, "Oatman" that is located on historical route 66 just outside of Laughlin Nevada.

Drive into Oatman

Oatman - Aside from the aesthetics when driving into Oatman, Oatman is alot of fun.

Oatman's Wild Wild West Gun Slingers

Ania about dropped over as they started firing blanks into the air as part of the wild west gun show, as you can see by the expression on her face, it was loud! Off to the distance you can see the small hotel and restaurant. We'll definitely want to hit that before leaving town, not for the food, but for the pictures.

Oh NO, he got-em

Great little shops to browse and pick-up a few small gifts like Route 66 souvenirs, leather goods, t-shirts, belts, hats, key-chains and so forth. I got a great XXL t-shirt for only $4.75! We picked up a nice pair of suspenders for about $9 as you can see hanging up behind Ania. It's just a fun little town that we'll enjoy for a bit on day 1 of our guided tour.

Showing off the new purchase! - Take it to the bank baby!

Day 1 On Route 66 - RIDING ALL DAY LONG!

Isn't that right squinty eyes?

El Donkeys combing the streets looking for hand-outs. Vendors sell carrots to feed them. They were warning folks not to get to close to the back legs as they kick and not to feed the baby donkeys carrots, as they choke. The donkey below seemed to have a nice smile on her face as she was munching down some carrots.

The picture is a bit blurry below because I was being chewed out for taking photos in the small gift shop by Bob's employee... Anyways,

(Below) Bob from Tama's Rt 66 Biker Den, tells some interesting stories about the hwy we were about to traverse. He said, "Last month, 5 motorcycles went over the edge. People just get to looken at the sites and not paying attention to the road. There are 2" rocks on the road and different types of gravel that cause riders to loose their grip to the road. Last Sunday 3 motorcycles in one day went over the edge including one Honda Trike. One motorcycle tour operator just got done talking to the group before the Honda Trike went over the edge. We've come to call this the Oh-My-God Road," instead of something with a term of blood in it.

Past Lives In Oatman - Olive Oatman part of the Royce Oatman family members killed by raiding indians of the past.

Oatman Hotel
Oldest 2 story adobe building in Mohave County that still reflects the good-ole-days of Oatman.
This hotel is something, it has thousands of dollars bills stapled on every single wall.

Oatman is just out-side of Laughlin, Nevada and a real joy to visit.
As you can see, some nice Hardware was setting around town.

Lets take a look at Historic Route 66 out of Oatman.

As you can see, the road is in need of repairs but not to bumpy. Below is a nice attempt of a wall to keep people from taking the plunge. Bob from Bikers Den, said "You have the mountain on your side headed from West to East". I really didn't know what he meant until we started down the road and noticed that instead of hugging the shoulder, we had the mountain to hug, which definitely made us feel a little safer.

Ok, Bob got us a little nervous but in the end, WOW what a Motorcycle Road, we really enjoyed the ride.

Video: Historical Route 66 East of Oatman (Day 1 of this Tour)

Here's a few more photos of the trip from Oatman.

Ok, enough about Oatman, lets kick it in gear!

Historic Route 66

Be sure and check out Road Kill Cafe
You'll love the menu...
Wonder if they served Tenderized Coyote on a George Forman Grill

Had some really strong winds while crossing this most glorious prairie of US Historic Route 66. As you can see the road is really quite. You pass unusual old pieces of equipment just tossed out in the fields and left from years past. You get a sense of how it must have been to live in the old days.

Day 2 - Arizona Parks & Canyons Guided Tour starts off with refreshing roads around lakes.

Happy Jack Lodge
A real nice lodge outside Lake Mary. I thought the price was a bit high for where this lodge/RV park was located, which was out in the middle no-where. Evidently others must feel the same way because this place was empty. We saw people pull in, in large RV's then leave for some reason. In fact, we didn't see one occupant in the entire resort as you can see from the photos. Really a nice place.

Getting Around takes quite an arsenal of mapping equipment. Only thing I've yet to stick on it, is a coffee cup holder.

Outstanding places to ride which we'll have on video

4 Layers of Curves From the top...

Hungry and ready to knaw on the edge of a wall we stopped at Outback Steak House in Flagstaff for a bite to eat. Wow, what a waitress, guess she had a bad day.

Nothing like a plate of blood for dinner... phooey. We had better eats...

Day 3 - On our way to Hoover Dam - We enjoyed the ride so much we forgot to stop and get photos...

Colorado River - Overlook

Got a bit hot today and against my better judgment decided to strip off some leather. For this type of weather I have a Draft Jacket by Tourmaster that allows air to flow-through the jacket that is loaded with armor. Unfortunately, room is limited on a sport bike for what you can bring. Interestingly enough, our journeys take us to the tops of mountains where temperatures drop from really-cold to the next valley, really-hot. Just yesterday, Ania was wearing the Tourmaster electric liner and electric gloves for driving comfort on top of the canyon pass and by the time you get to the bottom are stripping it all off.

Three layers of road at Hoover Dam

This Guided Tour to the Arizona Parks and Canyons was a delight. We can't wait to go back and tackle the areas with more photos.
