With an added twist and loop from Kingman, Oatman was a blast. Videos & Photos below. Brothers & Friends, people we love!

Beautiful Wiffee & Terri Hartwig from Las Vegas. Nice to be around people that we care about! The Hartwigs (Jamie), long time friends.

Adding a bit of distance to this trip makes it more of a round-about fun tour visiting other areas as well such Laughlin, AZ., Historic Route 66 and Kingman AZ. It can be done in a day. The total distance would be 288 Miles and would take much longer than 5.5 hours to do it.

The road to Oatman coming out of Vegas is a pretty good long straight stretch called U.S. 95 South. You'll pass a rifle range and the huge dry lake. It seems like forever here but it's only about 40 miles. Cutting down into Laughlin is a nice road with long curves. All of this is right through the beautiful Mojave Desert. :whistling:

Boulder City, Hwy 95, Hwy 163, Bull Head City Pkwy, Mohave (Not Typo) Valley Rd. to Oatman, Historic Rt. 66, Kingman - Gas, Bull Head City then back to Vegas.

Roads: Paved, primary roads are two lane
Hazards: Historic Rt. 66, switchbacks, small, unkept
Facilities: Small towns, gas, dining
Scenery: Mojave Desert
Points of Interest: Laughlin, Oatman, Historic Rt. 66
Connections: Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon south rim, Flagstaff, Sedona
Enter: From Boulder City

Well cared for Hayabusa's but that's not all we had on the trip. We had some big iron pony's!

This was a bit of interest when we caught sight of a lone-traveling woman headed across the desert plains of Mojave. :allalone:

Below is a topographical image of the historical road, route 66 near Oatman that travels across parts of the Black Mountains, which is mostly desert. It requires much caution due to the hairpin turns AND switchbacks. So, this is the little road that will get us warmed up as we get ready to explore every type of road condition, every curve, every hairpin and switch back. It's not pretty but you'll find every bit of a your attention on the road.
